Two members of a bag-snatching gang were arrested after grabbing a Chinese tourist’s purse in Naklua.

Kabthong Yang, 21, was captured behind Tesco-Lotus North Pattaya by police who witnessed the Sept. 13 bag-snatch outside the 69 Show cabaret on Naklua Road.

Officers then apprehended accomplice Denruk Lor, 31, who was waiting for Kabthong in the parking lot of The Gulf restaurant. A third member of the gang, Supakorn In, 23, escaped.

Police said the two men confessed to targeting Chinese tourists. They would snatch bags and then meet outside The Gulf and divvy up the proceeds. However, Kabthong apparently didn’t notice the patrol officers when he made his move.
