CHONBURI, Thailand – Floodwater at Amata Industrial Estate and surrounding areas of Phan Thong and Phanat Nikhom districts has begun to recede, with roads and some kerbs reappearing as officials continue pumping water and clearing drainage channels. Chonburi Governor Naris Niramaiwong inspected the flood situation on October 4, checking water-pumping operations at Amata Industrial Estate and drainage work in Wat Bot subdistrict, Phanat Nikhom district.
Officials reported that water levels at several locations inside the industrial estate had fallen steadily. In some areas, sections of road surface have become visible again, while kerbs are beginning to emerge from the floodwater. Authorities have continued operating pumps to remove standing water from the estate and surrounding areas.

At Huai Nam Khem, local authorities brought in excavators to dredge drainage channels, remove obstructions and improve the flow of water. The work is being carried out alongside pumping operations to accelerate the movement of floodwater out of affected areas. Similar excavation work is under way in Wat Bot subdistrict, where machinery is being used to clear waterways and increase drainage capacity.
The governor instructed relevant agencies to closely monitor the situation, continue pumping operations and clear obstructions along drainage routes to speed up the recovery. Authorities are also focused on reducing the impact on residents, economic areas and industrial facilities in Chonburi while working to return affected areas to normal conditions as quickly as possible.
