Chayin Naebpimai and a 16-year-old boy suffered minor injuries after getting caught in the crossfire between two rival motorcycle gangs on Highway 36.

Chayin Naebpimai, 23, and a 16-year-old boy filed a complaint with Nongprue Police Nov. 30 after having to take cover for their lives as bullets and handmade grenades flew between up to 80 bikers.

The two told police they stopped on the side of the highway to urinate when a gang of 40-50 bikers rolled up and were soon confronted by 30-40 rivals. Shots rang out and explosions rocked the area as they cowered for protection. Their truck was damaged and they couldn’t escape.

They called police and friends, who drove them from the scene about 30 minutes later.
