Two transvestites were arrested for allegedly pickpocketing an Australian tourist.
Chaiwat Sriwanich, 24, and Thanatcha Sangsan, 21, were taken into custody by tourist police April 13. The officers recovered a wallet containing 16,000 baht belonging to Bruce McCown, 34.
The Aussie said he was accosted by the two ladyboys around 5:30 a.m. on Beach Road with one lifting the wallet as the other distracted him.
The suspects tried to flee police, but were nabbed and reportedly confessed.
