More than 15,000 Pattaya residents received mementoes of their once-in-a-lifetime experience helping during the area’s mirror royal cremation ceremony in the form of uniforms and identification cards.

Banglamung District Chief Naris Niramaiwong opened the Oct. 22 distribution event at the Eastern National Indoor Sports Stadium where 15,144 items people received royal goods endorsed by HM the King Vajiralongkorn.

The volunteers ranged in age from students to senior citizens who previously registered to sacrifice their time and effort to ensure the Oct. 26 ceremony at Chaimongkol Temple went smoothly. Among the items received were a shirt, hat, scarf, wristband and more.

The volunteers were tasked with traffic support, public relations, security, funeral flower productions, public works and more.
