Tourist Police officers mediate between an American traveller and a taxi driver after the passenger was unable to pay the 400-baht fare at Don Mueang Airport.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Tourist Police at Don Mueang Airport helped an American traveller resolve a taxi fare dispute after he arrived at the airport without enough money to pay the 400-baht fare.

The incident was reported at about 3.10 p.m. on October 3, when a taxi driver contacted Tourist Police for assistance after transporting the American passenger from the Airport Rail Link area to Don Mueang Airport.

Upon arrival, the passenger was unable to pay the 400-baht fare. Tourist Police officers spoke with both parties and mediated the dispute. The officers then contacted the traveller’s friend, who transferred 400 baht directly to the taxi driver to settle the fare. After the payment was made, both sides reached an agreement and the incident was resolved peacefully.
