BANGKOK, Thailand – ShakeSphere CEO Dave Malhotra is inviting banking, lending and policy leaders to join an Executive Solution Lab in Bangkok on October 15, running alongside the IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings, to develop practical solutions to Thailand’s household debt and non-performing loan (NPL) challenges.
Together with ShakeSphere Chief Operating Officer Pete Chemsripong, Dave will lead the session, bringing industry leaders together with the company’s research, design and technology team to work on real borrower problems.
The initiative builds on three hackathons ShakeSphere has conducted around Thailand’s household debt and NPL challenges over recent months. The team has engaged with borrowers, explored ideas and tested prototypes to identify where practical solutions could make a difference.
Under the theme “Less Dialogue. More Solutions,” participants will focus on one real borrower problem, develop ideas, build prototypes and gather early feedback from users. That feedback will help refine the concepts and determine which ideas are worth taking further. Four CEOs from the banking and lending sectors, including the chief executive of LINE BK, have confirmed their participation, along with representatives from the Bank of Thailand.
Dave said the aim is to connect the understanding gained directly from borrowers with the experience and ability to act that financial sector leaders bring to the table. By bringing these perspectives together, the Executive Solution Lab seeks to turn insights into ideas that can be tested and developed into practical responses to Thailand’s household debt challenges.
