‘Healing Is the New Luxury’ leads Thailand Pavilion showcase at MATKA 2026 in Helsinki

TAT opens the Thailand Pavilion at MATKA 2026, spotlighting Thailand as a premium, value-driven destination for Nordic travellers and launching the global campaign “Healing is the New Luxury.”

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), led by Governor Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, officially opened the Thailand Pavilion, highlighting Thailand’s appeal as a premium destination for Nordic travellers through SANEH THAI, the Airline Focus Strategy, and a strong emphasis on value-driven tourism.



The showcase brought together airline and trade partnerships, B2B engagement with Northern European operators, and immersive soft-power experiences spanning Thai performing arts, Muay Thai, and traditional craftsmanship.

MATKA 2026, from 15-18 January, also marked the launch of TAT’s new global campaign, Healing is the New Luxury, signalling a move towards quality, balance, and sustainability in Thailand tourism for the year ahead. A full press release will follow soon via TAT Newsroom digital platforms. (TAT)
