The Norwegian Properties Group celebrated 10 years in Pattaya with a party at its VN Residence 2 condominium on Pratamnak Soi 5.

Gudmund Eiksund, managing director, hosted the Feb. 28 thank-you party for more than 200 customers and community leaders.

In his welcome speech, Eiksund said that his company did more than survive, “We also grew … and today we are well prepared to face the future.”

He said the company began with the construction of a small housing development with just nine homes and a pool. The 25 million baht project ended up costing 35 million baht. No money was made, but experience was gained.

The second project – Villa Norway 2 – was a success. It was followed by the VN Residence 1 with 20 apartments, then VN Residence 2.

He said the company’s next project will be a “five-star condominium” called 5th Avenue on Pratamnak Soi 4.

“This is for us is a big project with 10,000 sq. meters of land, consisting of 73 apartments from 50-300 sq. meters,” Eiksund said.

He thanked all the residents, employees and suppliers, as well as friends and supporters.

Norwegian Properties Group was established in 2004 by a family of Norwegian property specialists. Their goal was to supply a number of quality walk-up condominiums in Pattaya at reasonable costs.

Eiksund’s daughter also took the stage to congratulate him with flowers. “I want to congratulate you and Norwegian Properties. You have been the prime mover for the company and the one who started this adventure,” said Jeanette Heltne.
