Bangkok – Members of the royal family, the Prime Minister, the President of the Parliament and the President of the Constitutional Court conveyed their wishes to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua at the Amarindra Vinijaya Throne Hall inside the Grand Palace on Sunday, to mark the occasion of His Majesty’s 67th birthday
His Majesty the King sat high on the Pudtan Kanchana Singhasa Throne under the Nine-Tiered Great White Umbrella of State and delivered a birthday message to those assembled.
“I am rejoiced and have great admiration for all of you who come together to convey your birthday wishes that are filled with good intentions and goodwill, and as such, I would like to extend my best wishes and goodwill to all of you. The nation can prosper when different institutions together with the people of Thailand are aware of the interests of their country and jointly make them grow.
“All of you who are representatives of different institutions and the Thai people do recognize this importance. I urge you to perform your duty to the best of your ability and work together towards a common goal in order to succeed and bring goodness and prosperity to yourself and the public. Our nation will then be able to maintain its stability, move forward and achieve happiness accordingly. May the Triple Gem and all things held sacred protect you and bless you with happiness and prosperity.”
A group of officials then performed a ceremony to draw back a curtain before the throne. A marching band then performed the royal anthem, while the Royal Thai Army, the Royal Thai Navy and the Royal Thai Air Force each fired a 21-round gun salute outside to celebrate the special occasion.
