BANGKOK – The Thai embassy in Tokyo has assisted 32 Thai people stranded in Japan, including those at Haneda Airport to return home on Wednesday.

The embassy posted on its Facebook that a group of Thai passengers, who were stranded during the transit at Haneda Airport for four nights would arrive around 3.30 pm. on Wednesday (April 8) on a special repatriation flight, arranged by All Nippon Airways (ANA).

The NH 847 flight was allowed to fly to Thailand for a special purpose after the Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) extended a ban on all commercial flights to the country until April 18 to support the government’s policy in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19.

All returnees were informed about the 14-day state quarantine upon their arrivals. (TNA)
