BANGKOK, July 2 –A group of South Korean business owners called upon Thailand’s National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) chief, Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha this afternoon at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters, asking him to affirm that trade and investments between the two countries remain strong.

The NCPO chief warmly welcomed the group and introduced them to the three deputy leaders of the council.

He then clarified the current Thai political situation and its progress, as well as reported related developments to the South Korean investors.

The NCPO chief also spoke about the council’s working structure and how it is dividing itself to oversee 21 ministries in the country to ensure smooth operation of every ministerial official and ministry.

Gen Prayuth then praised South Korea for its prosperous development and reaffirmed that Thailand is open to new investments from abroad

He reiterated that it was necessary for the NCPO to assume power to fully manage the nation as the former democratically-elected government did not possess full power for management.
