Leaders of South Korea’s capital Seoul visited Pattaya to study how the city promotes tourism.

Pattaya City Council Chairman Anan Angkanawisai, local and tourism officials greeted Kim Jong-wook, the Minjoo Party representative who heads the Seoul Council, and 11 other city officials Feb. 6.

The South Koreans were invited to Thailand by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to strengthen ties. The group visited Pattaya Feb. 4-5 to study Pattaya’s tourism promotion efforts, including the events schedule and security.

The meeting was considered of benefit both Thailand and South Korea as it facilitated the exchange of experiences, information and knowledge regarding tourism management and creating good relationships and cooperation between both sides.
