PM Yingluck’s meeting with Finance Ministry chiefs

BANGKOK, 8 May 2013 The Prime Minister has held a meeting with the minister and the deputy minister of Finance to discuss the country’s overall economic conditions. 

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong revealed on Tuesday that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra invited him and his deputy, Mr. Tanusak Lek-uthai to a meeting on local economic problems.

Mr. Kittiratt said the discussion particularly touched on what the best measures to control the baht movement should be.

He stated that the Bank of Thailand Governor Prasarn Trairatvorakul has already been invited to a dinner at an undisclosed location, where unofficial talks on the baht control policies and how to make all efforts cohesive will happen.
