Energy Regulatory Commission sets funds for community development

BANGKOK, 3 June 2012  – Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Commission Direk Lavansiri has made known the commission’s support to the Power Development Fund’s plans for the year 2012. 

The plan involves development of communities surrounding seven power plants located in several provinces, such as Ratchaburi, Songkhla, and Suphan Buri. Among the target power stations is Dan Chang Bio-energy Limited in Suphan Buri.

The fund set aside for the plan totals 235 million baht. The Energy Regulatory Commission will transfer an initial amount of 135 million baht to the Power Development Fund at the beginning of this month to enable those projects to get started.
