Commerce Min: Prices of consumer goods stable

The Ministry of Commerce says prices of consumer goods remain stable ahead of Chinese New Year.

Revealing after its inspection at Happy Land Market in Bang Kapi district, the Department of Internal Trade under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce said prices of most products are still stable. Its survey found that pork is sold at 150 baht per kilogram, the same exact price offered in the previous week.

The department admitted that prices of consumer products such as food and drinks as well as other religious offerings could increase slightly during the Chinese New Year celebration next month.

The department also confirmed that there would be enough supply of necessities during Chinese New Year.

The Department of Internal Trade conducts market inspections on a daily basis in order to prevent sellers from overcharging their customers.
