BANGKOK, 28 May 2012  – Bangchak Petroleum PCL has been gradually changing the oil dispensers from Benzene 91 to Gasohol E20, as the government has been expanding the price gap between benzene and gasohol to encourage gasohol use.

According to Bangchak President Anusorn Saengnimnuan, 300 Bangchak gas stations now have Benzene 91 dispensers while 470 stations are providing Gasohol E20. He is confident that Bangchak will be able to increase the number of stations with E20 dispensers to 600 within this year.

Mr Anusorn affirmed that the country’s overall gasohol consumption will more or less increase as a result of the E20 promotion strategy. He pointed out that E20 is now nearly seven baht per liter cheaper than benzene, which should be able to persuade more people to use it.
