BANGKOK, Thailand – Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn attended the 2026 Khon performance, Ramakien: Sida, presented by the SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on November 3 at the Thailand Cultural Center.

Upon Her Royal Highness’s arrival, SUPPORT Foundation member Paisan Lomthong delivered a report, while fellow member Narumon Lomthong and Culture Minister Sabeeda Thaised presented floral garlands. Government officials and distinguished guests were also present to welcome Her Royal Highness. This year’s production also celebrates Her Majesty Queen Suthida’s 48th birthday anniversary.

The annual performance honors Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s royal contributions to reviving and preserving Khon, Thailand’s traditional masked dance drama. Through the SUPPORT Foundation, Her Majesty promoted traditional craftsmanship, including the creation of costumes, headdresses, masks, and ornaments, while encouraging master artisans and teachers to pass their expertise to younger generations.

During the event, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn watched a dance performance paying tribute to the monarchy, a behind-the-scenes video documenting preparations, and the first two acts of “Ramakien: Sida.” Following the performance, Air Vice Marshal Pakdee Saeng-Xuto presented five representatives of the production team and performers to Her Royal Highness, who graciously presented them with royal bouquets in recognition of their contributions.
