PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Beach turned into a colorful running and entertainment venue on October 31 as the 10th Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race brought runners and spectators together for a Halloween-themed evening beside the sea. Organized through cooperation between Pattaya City, Central Pattana, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and other partners, the annual event marked its 10th year with a 5-kilometre beach run designed to combine sport, entertainment and tourism promotion.

Mayor Poramet Ngampichet said sports tourism plays an important role in attracting visitors, encouraging travel and generating income for local businesses. Over the past decade, the Bikini Beach Race has attracted growing interest from Thai and international runners and tourists, becoming a distinctive feature of Pattaya’s beach events calendar.
This year’s race carried the theme “Run The Wave Own The Night”, bringing together seaside running and Halloween celebrations. Participants enjoyed the 5-kilometre route along Pattaya Beach before the evening continued with a Glow Party and beach concert featuring singer Laem Somphol.

The 10th anniversary event highlighted cooperation between the city, private businesses and tourism organizations in developing international-standard activities. Organizers said such events help diversify Pattaya’s tourism appeal, create business opportunities and distribute income to local communities.
Pattaya plans to continue developing sports tourism and international events as part of its efforts to attract visitors, expand its tourism offering and establish the city as a quality destination for travellers from around the world.
