BANGKOK, Thailand – Queen Mary University of London has partnered with King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) to launch three international engineering dual degree programmes, strengthening Thailand’s position as a regional centre for global education and technology talent. The partnership offers four-year Bachelor of Engineering programmes to both Thai and international students in three high-demand fields, namely Data and AI Engineering, Intelligent Electronic and Electrical System Engineering, and Robotics and AI Engineering.
A major feature of the initiative is the establishment of the International Centre for Future Technologies at KMUTT’s Bangkok campus, providing a platform for academic collaboration, research, and innovation. Through a Flying Faculty model, academics from Queen Mary University of London will travel to Bangkok to deliver in-person teaching alongside KMUTT faculty members, bringing international expertise directly to students in Thailand.
The partnership is designed to strengthen engineering education, expand opportunities for international academic exchange, and develop graduates with the skills needed in emerging technology industries. It also aims to build a long-term foundation for research and innovation while supporting Thailand’s ambition to become a regional hub for advanced technology and global talent. (NNT)
