PATTAYA, Thailand – Two defendants accused of murdering two Russian siblings and concealing their bodies in Huay Yai, East Pattaya, Banglamung, have changed their pleas and admitted all charges at Pattaya Provincial Court. During a hearing on October 20, the court also approved a request by the victims’ mother, Sarina Nazimova, to join the public prosecutor as a co-plaintiff in parts of the case involving alleged rape and murder.

The defendants, identified as Thana, known as “Pong”, and Thongchai, known as “Thong”, had previously denied some charges, including premeditated murder and rape. They changed their pleas to guilty on all counts during the latest hearing. Since the case involves serious offences carrying heavy penalties, the public prosecutor requested witness testimony to support the guilty pleas. The court scheduled the next hearing for November 30 at 9am and ordered both defendants to be brought to court.

The siblings, Diana Nazimova, 22, and Roman Nazimova, 17, disappeared after leaving their residence in Huay Yai in the early hours of July 26. Following an investigation, police arrested the two suspects in Sa Kaeo province. Further inquiries led investigators to the concealed bodies in Huay Yai.

The prosecution filed nine charges against the defendants on September 30, covering alleged offences involving firearms, unlawful detention, robbery, premeditated murder, rape and concealing bodies to hide the deaths. The case will proceed with witness testimony supporting the guilty pleas before the court considers its judgment.
