
ROI ET, Thailand – The VIJIT ROI-ET ILLUMINATION 2026 festival is lighting up Bueng Phlan Chai in Roi Et province with colorful installations, artistic displays, and immersive sound experiences. Running through October 18, the event celebrates the faith, traditional beliefs, and cultural heritage of northeastern Thailand, known as Isan.
The festival features 11 illuminated display locations that combine modern lighting technology with artistic interpretations of local traditions. The installations incorporate light, color, and sound into the surrounding landscape, creating a nighttime experience inspired by the region’s cultural identity and spiritual heritage.
Visitors can explore the displays, enjoy the illuminated scenery, and take photographs throughout Bueng Phlan Chai, one of Roi Et’s best-known public landmarks. The festival presents traditional Isan themes through contemporary visual storytelling, offering residents and tourists a fresh perspective on the province’s cultural attractions.
