
NONTHABURI, Thailand – Nonthaburi Governor Chettha Mosikarat visited flood-affected communities in Bang Kruai District on October 8 to assess conditions, hear residents’ concerns, and personally receive requests for assistance and compensation. He was accompanied by provincial officials, disaster prevention authorities, and representatives of relevant agencies.
The visit included a meeting to review the flooding and discuss plans to construct a water-control gate on the Bangkok Noi Canal. The delegation then inspected a flood barrier behind Thanakorn 4 Village, checked water levels, and visited elderly residents and bedridden patients. Relief supplies were also distributed to affected households.
Arriving in Bang Khanun subdistrict, Chettha met with residents and accepted written requests for assistance and compensation. Provincial authorities will review the submissions and coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure eligible residents receive support under established criteria.
The visit was coordinated with the Bang Kruai District Office, local administrative organizations, village leaders, and territorial defense volunteers.
