PATTAYA, Thailand – A giant Thai national flag will take to the skies over Pattaya on October 7 as part of the ONE FLAG THAILAND mission, an attempt to create and record a new world record.
Measuring 4,303.04 square feet, the enormous flag will be taken into the sky before descending by parachute towards Pattaya Beach.
The first mission is scheduled for around 7.30 a.m., with Professor Dr. Keerati Charoencholvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, set to be the first person to bring the Thai flag down onto Pattaya Beach.
Organizers have prepared two attempts for the mission. If the first attempt succeeds and the record is officially recorded, the second attempt will not take place. The event is set to combine skydiving with a giant display of the Thai national flag, with organizers aiming to create a memorable scene over Pattaya and secure a place in the record books.
