Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet and his administration members welcome British Ambassador Nicola Pollitt at Pattaya City Hall on October 5 for talks on tourist assistance, safety and cooperation.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet welcomed H.E. Ms. Nicola Pollitt, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Thailand, during her visit to Pattaya City Hall on October 5, where they discussed tourist assistance, safety and cooperation to support British visitors in the city.

The mayor presented the ambassador with a symbolic “Key to the City” as a gesture of friendship and an official welcome. The meeting focused on cooperation in assisting British nationals living in or visiting Pattaya, with discussions covering tourist safety, road accidents, cannabis-related issues, and economic and tourism matters.



Mayor Poramet said Pattaya places a high priority on the safety of residents and tourists and continues to monitor key tourism areas. He highlighted the city’s CCTV network, which covers important areas across Pattaya and allows authorities to monitor situations around the clock, supporting crime prevention, public safety and assistance to tourists during emergencies. Pattaya City is also prepared to coordinate with relevant agencies and the British Embassy in Thailand to ensure British tourists receive effective assistance and to build confidence among international visitors.

The meeting highlighted continued cooperation between Pattaya City and the United Kingdom on tourist care and safety, supporting Pattaya’s efforts to maintain its reputation as a safe tourism destination.
