Bangsaen Technical College teachers and students prepare to repair flood-damaged vehicles and electrical appliances free of charge for affected Chonburi residents.

CHONBURI, Thailand – Bangsaen Technical College is joining local leaders in helping Chonburi residents recover from recent flooding by providing free repairs for flood-damaged vehicles, electrical appliances and household equipment.

Floodwaters have damaged homes and personal property across several areas of Chonburi. As the situation begins to improve, affected residents are cleaning their homes and assessing damage to cars, motorcycles, electrical appliances and other essential equipment.

Dr. Sumawadee Phuangchan, Director of Bangsaen Technical College, said the college is responding to an order from Education Minister Prasert Chantharuangthong and the Office of the Vocational Education Commission to establish volunteer recovery centers to assist flood-affected communities.

Teachers and vocational students from Bangsaen Technical College will provide repair services at three locations in Chonburi:

  • October 5–7: Wat Tao Poon, Ang Sila, Mueang Chonburi
  • October 8: Wat Tai Don, Saen Suk, Mueang Chonburi
  • October 9: Wat Tan Lom, Saen Suk, Mueang Chonburi
Dr. Sumawadee Phuangchan, Director of Bangsaen Technical College, leads the college’s volunteer effort to provide free repairs for Chonburi residents affected by flooding.

The community repair centers will provide free services with no charge for electrical appliances, household equipment, motorcycles, cars and agricultural machinery damaged by flooding.

The initiative is intended to reduce the financial burden on residents as they restore their homes and return to normal daily life. It also gives vocational students valuable hands-on experience working on real repair jobs under the close supervision of experienced automotive and electrical instructors.

Residents who want to use the service need to bring only one identification card when registering at the designated service locations on the dates listed above.

The college said the volunteer repair program combines practical assistance for flood-affected families with professional training for vocational students, allowing them to put their technical skills into practice while helping communities recover.

Free repair services will cover motorcycles, cars, electrical appliances, household equipment and agricultural machinery at three Chonburi temples from October 5–9.
