PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya special affairs officers intervened after a person reportedly caused a disturbance outside Pattaya City School 5 near Sukhumvit Road, Central Pattaya, on October 1 while students were waiting for their parents after school. Officers were alerted to a person shouting insults and behaving inappropriately along Sukhumvit Road in Central Pattaya, directly in front of the school. Students were reportedly gathered nearby waiting to be picked up.

When officers arrived, they found a transgender woman, estimated to be 30–35 years old, who appeared intoxicated, was speaking incoherently and continued shouting. Officers spoke with the person and escorted her away from the area to prevent the situation from affecting students’ safety.

Students at the scene told officers they had been playing on a grassy area beside the road while waiting for their parents when the person approached, shouted at them and lifted her shirt, exposing her chest. The behavior frightened the students, prompting them to seek assistance. Authorities reminded students and members of the public to avoid approaching people displaying unusual or potentially aggressive behavior and to notify officials so the situation can be assessed safely and prevented from escalating.
