SATTAHIP, Thailand – A huge black king cobra measuring almost 5 meters long was found inside a resident’s home in Bang Saray, Sattahip, Chonburi, on September 28, prompting local disaster prevention officers to respond and remove the snake safely. Kled Kaew Subdistrict Municipality’s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation team was called after residents discovered the snake inside their home during rainy weather. Officials quickly attended the scene, captured the king cobra and removed it from the residential area to protect residents.
Authorities reminded people to be especially cautious during heavy rain, flooding and sudden weather changes, when snakes and other potentially dangerous wildlife may seek higher and drier ground by entering homes.
