PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City is asking owners of boats damaged or stranded along the coast to contact city authorities so assistance can be arranged. The appeal follows recent rough seas and heavy weather that left at least one damaged boat on North Pattaya Beach. City officials said they need boat owners to come forward and clearly state what assistance they require before authorities can take further action.
Officials explained that they cannot intervene or remove damaged vessels without first receiving the owner’s consent and instructions on how they wish the city to assist. Boat owners affected by the weather are asked to contact Pattaya City directly to discuss possible assistance. They can also call the Pattaya City Contact Center hotline at 1337. The city urged anyone who knows the owners of affected boats to pass on the message so the authorities and owners can work together to resolve the situation.
