BANGKOK, Thailand – The Transport Co. Ltd. (BKS) has announced the temporary suspension of five routes operated by private bus partners following heavy flooding in parts of eastern Thailand.
The suspensions took effect on September 26, 2026, and will remain in place until conditions improve and routes can safely return to normal.
The affected services are:
- Route 46: Bangkok–Rayong via the old route
- Route 48: Bangkok–Pattaya, van services only
- Routes 914/917: Bangkok–Chanthaburi–Trat, operated by Thanthawee Transport Co. Ltd.
- Route 9916: Bangkok–Wang Nam Yen–Khlong Hat
- Route 9916: Bangkok–Sa Kaeo–Aranyaprathet–Rong Kluea Market
BKS said its own bus services continue to operate normally on all routes, while the company closely monitors flooding and heavy rain across the country. The operator said it is prepared to adjust services according to changing conditions to protect passengers and minimize disruption.
Passengers are advised to monitor local weather and flooding conditions, plan journeys carefully and allow extra time to reach Bangkok’s bus terminals, including Mo Chit 2, Ekkamai, the Southern Bus Terminal on Boromratchachonnani Road, Pinklao and the Chatuchak minibus terminal. BKS said traffic congestion and flooding in some areas could cause delays in reaching the terminals.
