BANGKOK, Thailand – A book launch and special lecture titled “The Common Heritage of Mankind and the Changing Structure of International Law” was held recently at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok, examining developments in international law and their implications for shared global interests. Prof. Dr. Kantathi Suphamongkhon, Thailand’s 39th minister of foreign affairs, delivered the keynote lecture at the ministry’s Narathip Room. Drawing on his experience in international affairs, he discussed the concept of the Common Heritage of Mankind and shifts in the international legal landscape.
The lecture examined how the evolving structure of international law could shape the ways countries approach common interests and emerging global challenges. Participants also gained perspectives on broader changes in international affairs and their relationship with international legal frameworks.
