PATTAYA, Thailand – An evening of elegance, friendship and humanitarian purpose unfolded on September 5 as the Global Pattaya Rotary Club hosted its Annual Fundraising Gala at the Hilton Pattaya.
The gala brought together Rotarians, partner clubs, sponsors, friends and supporters for an evening of dining, entertainment, fellowship and fundraising. Members of the Rotary Club of Eastern Seaboard, Rotary Club of Plutaluang, Rotary Club of U-Tapao International, Rotary Club of Pattaya and other partner clubs joined the celebration.
Guests arrived in their finest attire and were welcomed with drinks, photographs and warm hospitality before enjoying an extensive buffet dinner in the elegantly decorated ballroom.
Dr. Nomjit “Nuch” Vidhyaphum officially opened the ceremony, followed by a welcome from Rose Gamito, Assistant Governor of Zone 4, District 3340, and Charter President of Global Pattaya Rotary.
Rose Gamito welcomed the guests saying, “Rotary is about friendship, but that friendship becomes truly meaningful when we work together to serve others. Our goal is to turn fellowship into practical projects that make a lasting difference in the lives of people in our community,”
A special video presentation recognised the Diamond, Platinum and Gold Sponsors whose generosity and support helped make the gala possible. Rose Gamito and Brett Beadleson also presented special recognition to individuals whose dedication and generosity have contributed to the club’s humanitarian work.
President Brett Beadleson subsequently presented certificates of appreciation to the gala sponsors, formally acknowledging their financial support and partnership with the club.
Turning fellowship into service
President Brett Beadleson emphasised that the club’s humanitarian work is focused on turning Rotary values into practical action, with projects responding directly to needs in the community. “We want our fundraising to make a real difference where it is needed most. Whether we are protecting children, supporting disaster relief, promoting health or providing clean water, our aim is to work with our community partners and deliver projects that have a meaningful and lasting impact,” Beadleson said.
Speaking about the “Water Is Life” initiative, he said access to safe drinking water was a basic need that could have a significant impact on children’s health and wellbeing. “Clean drinking water should never be taken for granted, especially by children. Through Water Is Life, we can provide something simple but extremely important while also encouraging schools and young people to reduce the use of single-use plastic,” he said.
Referring to the new drinking-water station at Pattaya City School 7 and the earlier project at Nongketnoi Childcare Center, Beadleson said the projects demonstrated the value of long-term partnerships. “These projects show what can happen when Rotary members, schools, community organisations and supporters work together. We identify a genuine need, find a practical solution and then work together to make it happen,” he said.
Entertainment adds to the celebration
The humanitarian presentation was complemented by a lively programme of entertainment. Veronika captivated guests with a graceful dance performance before returning later with an energetic Gypsy dance. Rose Gamito and friends then brought the ballroom to life with a Dai-Dai group dance accompanied by powerful African drums.
Aaditi Sharma and Andrey Nekliudov hosted the raffle and auction, with guests taking part enthusiastically. The activities added excitement while supporting the evening’s central fundraising purpose. The evening continued with a ticket draw, with winning numbers displayed on the ballroom screen, followed by a live performance from Jason and friends.
As the formal programme drew to a close, the atmosphere became increasingly festive. The band continued playing while guests filled the dance floor and enjoyed the final part of the evening.
For Global Pattaya Rotary, the Annual Fundraising Gala was more than a glamorous social occasion. It provided an opportunity to bring together Rotary members, partner clubs, sponsors and the wider community while showcasing the humanitarian work made possible through their combined support.
The gala also highlighted the development of the relatively young club as it expands its service programme in Pattaya and beyond. From clean water and child protection to disaster relief, vaccination, education and environmental initiatives, its activities connect Rotary’s international ideals with practical needs in local communities.
The evening concluded with appreciation to the guests, sponsors, performers, organisers, volunteers and Rotarians whose contributions made the gala possible.
