Bangkok gems fair draws 50,000 visitors and B5.8 billion in purchases

The 74th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair welcomed visitors from 123 countries, with coloured gemstones leading purchases at the five-day event.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The 74th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, held from September 8-12, 2026, has concluded successfully, drawing over 50,000 visitors from 123 countries and generating 5.8 billion baht in purchases for Thailand. According to the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), visitor numbers increased by 12 percent and purchase value rose by 31 percent compared to the previous event. Most visitors came from India, Burma, China, Japan, and Sri Lanka, with coloured gemstones being the top product.



The success of this event not only showcases Thailand’s position as a global hub for jewelry and gems, but also reflects the country’s significance as a destination for sourcing raw materials, adding value, and expanding into international markets. ​The next Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair is scheduled to take place from February 23-27, 2027, at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
