Amphawa Floating Market glows after dark with colourful lights, floral displays and riverside attractions during Neramith Amphawa, running September 11–20 in Samut Songkhram.

SAMUT SONGKHRAM, Thailand – Amphawa Floating Market will come alive after dark from September 11–20 as “Neramit Amphawa” transforms the historic riverside destination with spectacular lights, colourful installations and cultural experiences. Held under the concept “The City of Three Waters, Hundreds of Threads of Life,” the event features 10 illuminated attractions spread around Amphawa, creating a new nighttime experience for visitors.


Highlights include Blooming Amphawa, a colourful floral display at the Amphawa Municipality office; Floral Alley, a flower-themed photography spot; and The River, The Light, The Bloom, which combines the market’s riverside setting with light and floral installations. Visitors can also enjoy cultural performances at the Neramith Amphawa Main Stage, explore the Light of Legacy, Living Stories installation at King Rama II Memorial Park, and walk across illuminated bridges connecting different parts of the event.

Other highlights include riverside light displays, a retro-themed experience celebrating memories of the past, nature-inspired installations at Chai Pattananurak Park and illuminated butterflies creating a magical riverside atmosphere. Neramit Amphawa runs from September 11–20, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Amphawa Floating Market in Samut Songkhram. Visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras and experience Amphawa after sunset as the historic floating market takes on a colourful new look. (TAT)
