
OSLO, Norway – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul attended the state funeral of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway in Oslo on September 9 as His Majesty the King’s representative. The funeral service was held at Oslo Cathedral at 1 p.m. local time, preceded by a procession carrying the late King’s remains from the Royal Palace to the cathedral. Members of the Norwegian public gathered along the route to pay their final respects after several days of national mourning.
Royal families, heads of state, prime ministers, and other senior representatives from around the world attended the ceremony. Anutin joined the international dignitaries in paying respects to the late Norwegian monarch on behalf of His Majesty the King and the Kingdom of Thailand. Anutin’s attendance represented Thailand at the royal ceremony while honoring the longstanding friendly relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Norway. (NNT)
