PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya’s joint security patrols continue across the city even as US Navy personnel from the USS Abraham Lincoln prepare to leave, with authorities maintaining a strong presence to protect visitors and keep tourist areas safe. Pattaya municipal officers are working alongside Tourist Police, Pattaya City Police, military personnel, Banglamung district defense volunteers and other agencies in coordinated foot patrols across the city.
The operation was stepped up during the USS Abraham Lincoln’s port visit to provide security and assistance to thousands of US sailors and other tourists. While the sailors’ visit is coming to an end, officials say their duty to keep Pattaya safe continues. Patrol teams are walking through busy tourist areas, helping prevent incidents, assisting visitors and responding to problems when needed.

The continued patrols are aimed at giving visitors confidence to enjoy Pattaya’s streets, restaurants, shopping areas and entertainment districts safely, reinforcing the city’s message that security does not end when the visiting sailors leave.
