KHON KAEN, Thailand — Two men were injured and trapped inside a six-wheel box truck after it crashed into the rear of a trailer truck at a traffic-light intersection in Ban Phai district early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred at about 2 a.m. at the Hin Tang three-way intersection on the inbound side of Ban Phai district.
Rescue workers from Phutthayan Rescue Foundation responded to the scene and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the two injured men from the wreckage. At about 2:39 a.m., rescuers successfully removed both men from the truck. They received initial first aid before being prepared for transport to Ban Phai Hospital. The cause of the crash and the full extent of the men’s injuries remained under investigation.
