NDCFL 2026 puts Thai wisdom to work for jobs and economic growth

Culture Minister Sabeeda Thaised outlines how Thai wisdom and cultural heritage can create jobs, income and new economic opportunities at the NDCFL Symposium 2026.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The NDCFL Symposium 2026 presented policy proposals for Thailand’s future development, covering artificial intelligence, workforce productivity, energy security, government reform, and national resilience. Held on August 27 under the theme “THAIS: From Thai Wisdom to Thai Vision,” the event presented findings from Class 3 of the National Defence Course for Future Leaders through the concept “Five Forces, One Future.”



Attending the event, Culture Minister Sabeeda Thaised addressed the potential of Thai wisdom and cultural heritage to generate jobs, income, and economic opportunities. She detailed the Ministry of Culture’s ROOT TO RICH concept and 5C policy framework, with Thai food, fashion, film, music, and tourism among the sectors identified for greater economic development.

Other discussions involved AI sovereignty, education, the Credit Bank system, preventive healthcare, workforce skills, battery storage, electricity grid development, small modular reactors, and regulatory reform for green-energy projects. Participants also proposed using more than 4.6 million rai of military land for green-energy development and biometric systems for migrant-worker management. Security recommendations included a strategic command center capable of responding to information-related crises within 30 minutes, greater cyber resilience, defense-industry reforms, and new national security legislation to replace a framework described as more than 85 years old. (NNT)
