Tourist Police locate a 19-year-old Russian woman safe in Bangkok after her family reported losing contact with her for more than two months.

PATTAYA, Thailand – A 19-year-old Russian woman reported missing after her family was unable to contact her for more than two months has been found safe in Bangkok, according to Tourist Police.

The woman’s relatives filed a report at Na Jomtien Police Station in Sattahip, Chonburi, on August 21, asking authorities to help locate her after losing contact with her for an extended period. The family knew only that she had traveled to Thailand.

Tourist Police officers from Tourist Police Division 1, Subdivision 2, began checking available information and found that the woman had stayed at a hotel in Na Jomtien in mid-June with a Thai man. Officers traced her movements and coordinated with Tourist Police in Bangkok to check a place where she was believed to be staying.



hey eventually found the woman in Bangkok, where she was staying with the Thai man. Authorities said their initial checks found no indication that she had been harmed or was in danger. The woman reportedly told officers that she had come to Thailand for a holiday and had experienced some personal issues with her family, leading her to stop answering calls. She later met the Thai man and began a relationship with him before moving to Bangkok to stay with him.

Tourist Police then arranged for the woman to contact her brother to confirm that she was safe. Her brother is expected to travel to Bangkok to meet her and discuss the situation. Tourist Police said the case was resolved through coordination between officers, hotel staff and investigators at Na Jomtien Police Station. The woman remains safe while authorities continue coordinating with her family and handling the case according to procedure.
