Minister Yodchanan inspects Nan flood damage as recovery and aid efforts begin

Deputy Prime Minister Yodchanan Wongsawat visits flood-hit communities in Pua district, Nan, delivering relief supplies and reviewing recovery plans.

NAN, Thailand – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Yodchanan Wongsawat visited Pua district in Nan province on August 21 to inspect flood conditions and ongoing relief operations. Accompanied by Nan Governor Chainarong Wongyai, Yodchanan visited affected communities to assess the damage and distribute relief supplies to residents. He thanked personnel and residents for their efforts during the emergency and praised government agencies for their rapid response.


Yodchanan said the next stage of government assistance would turn to post-flood recovery, including efforts to revive the local economy and help affected communities return to normal. Governor Chainarong, meanwhile, announced ongoing assistance for residents, including the deployment of heavy machinery to clear flood-hit areas and financial assistance for repairs to damaged homes. Provincial authorities will also hold discussions with central government agencies on additional compensation for flood victims.
