PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City has opened the stage for young esports players to test their skills, sharpen strategic thinking and experience the challenges of real competition. The Pattaya Youth Esports Competition for fiscal year 2026 was held on August 21 at Pattaya City School 11 (Pattaya Demonstration Secondary School), providing young people with an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities, develop new skills and gain practical experience through competitive gaming.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Krisana Boonsawad presided over the opening ceremony, joined by officials, organizers and participating young people. Organized by the Children and Youth Activities Division under Pattaya City’s Education Office, the project aims to turn young people’s interest in esports into opportunities to develop knowledge, abilities and skills in a constructive environment. Beyond gaming, the competition focuses on skills such as planning, decision-making, communication and teamwork. Organizers also hope esports can help strengthen friendships and cooperation among team members while becoming a positive activity that continues to attract young people in Pattaya.

The competition is divided into two age categories, under 15 and under 18, giving participants an opportunity to compete against their peers while applying strategic thinking and teamwork in a structured competitive environment. Pattaya City said the initiative is intended not only to provide entertainment but also to create a space where young people can develop skills that can be applied beyond the esports arena.
