A woman allegedly steals clothes from a home in Arunothai Soi 7 after approaching a drying rack outside the house.

PATTAYA, Thailand – A woman in Pattaya has warned residents to be more careful after a CCTV camera captured a masked woman calmly stealing clothes left drying outside a home in Pattaya.

At around 11:30 p.m. on August 20, 49-year-old Nipaporn shared CCTV footage with reporters after discovering that several items of clothing had been stolen from outside her home in Soi 7, Arunothai. The footage clearly shows a woman dressed in a black sleeveless T-shirt, jeans and sneakers, carrying a black basket and wearing a face mask. Her hair was tied back, and she appeared to be dressed relatively well.

The woman was seen approaching the front of the house and looking over the clothes hanging on two drying racks. She then selected several items and quietly pulled them from the racks one by one, carrying them away while appearing to act as though she was simply passing by. Nipaporn said the incident occurred at about 5:52 a.m. on August 18. She had hung clothes on two racks outside her home before going to bed, unaware that someone might enter the property and take them.

After waking up, she noticed that several items were missing and checked her CCTV footage. The recording showed the woman approaching the house and taking several pieces of clothing. The missing items included shorts, a skirt and around two shirts. Although the stolen clothing was not particularly valuable, the incident left her feeling uneasy and concerned about the security of her home.

She decided to release the footage to warn other residents, particularly those who leave clothes, shoes or other belongings outside their homes. She urged people to keep their possessions in safer locations, even when the items have relatively little monetary value. She also called on police to increase patrols in the area, particularly during the late-night and early-morning hours, to help prevent similar incidents.
