“Ja Dam” the resident cat of Phu Phrabat Historical Park strikes a serious pose while reporting for duty.

UDON THANI, Thailand – A stern-looking feline has become an unexpected star at Phu Phrabat Historical Park after the park introduced its resident cat, “Ja Dam,” in a playful social media post.

The park shared photos of Ja Dam with the caption, “The handsome one is reporting for duty! Ready to perform his duties and cause some trouble at the same time,” prompting smiles and amused reactions from social media users.

With his serious expression and confident pose, Ja Dam looks more like a strict park officer than a resident cat enjoying life around the historic site. After the photos were posted, online users praised his handsome appearance and particularly his intense facial expression. Some jokingly dubbed him the park’s “stern-faced officer.” The feline has become a familiar presence at the park, adding a touch of charm and personality for tourists and visitors. While Ja Dam may appear to take his duties very seriously, his unofficial mission seems to be just as important — entertaining visitors and putting smiles on the faces of those who encounter him.

With his stern expression and confident stance, Ja Dam has earned a reputation online as the park’s “stern-faced officer.”

Ja Dam surveys the historic park from a higher rocky perch, looking every bit like he is keeping watch over his territory.
