New CAAT rules provide passengers with compensation, refunds, rebooking, meals and accommodation when scheduled flights are delayed or canceled without prior notice.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Under Civil Aviation Board Regulation No. 101 (CAB Regulation No. 101), passengers on domestic and international scheduled flights that are delayed or canceled without prior notice will now be entitled to protections such as food and refreshments, communication access, monetary compensation, refunds, rebooking, or hotel accommodation — depending on the length and nature of the delay.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) is rolling out this regulation to align with international standards, ensuring passengers receive fair treatment and clear, enforceable rights when travel plans are disrupted.
