NAN, Thailand – Deputy Interior Minister Jeseth Thaiseth has visited flood-hit communities in Pua district, Nan province, to inspect relief operations and meet residents affected by the disaster.

Jeseth traveled to Ban Kaem Rat Phatthana and Ban Kaem in Woranakhon subdistrict, where he distributed relief bags, meals from a Royal Mobile Kitchen, and drinking water. He also met residents to assess their immediate needs and spoke with government officials, military personnel, and other response teams.


Authorities are continuing evacuations from inundated areas, prioritizing older people, patients, and others who require additional assistance. Jeseth instructed agencies to coordinate closely so aid can reach households quickly and safely. Officials were also directed to monitor water levels, persistent flooding, and locations vulnerable to flash floods and fast-moving runoff. Response teams have been told to prioritize public safety and remain ready to act as conditions change. (NNT)
