BANGKOK, Thailand – Government Public Relations Department (PRD) Director-General Sudruetai Lertkasem and Ajman Meludin, permanent secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office of Brunei Darussalam, co-chaired the 17th Joint Technical Committee Meeting to review progress and advance bilateral cooperation in media and information. The meeting was attended by representatives of Thailand’s PRD and Radio Television Brunei (RTB). Both sides discussed expanding cooperation in television and radio broadcasting, news exchanges, and media personnel development.
Thailand and Brunei also endorsed a multi-platform strategy to expand content production covering tourism, culture, and the economy. Discussions included plans for joint productions commemorating major royal occasions in 2027. These include the 100th birth anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great of Thailand and the Diamond Jubilee commemorating the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam’s accession to the throne.
