Thai textiles take the global stage at ICONSIAM

The Walk of Woven Identities showcases contemporary Thai fashion and textile craftsmanship from 10 communities nationwide at ICONSIAM on August 13.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Public Relations Department will host a contemporary Thai fashion exhibition and academic seminar at ICONSIAM, Bangkok, on August 13, to promote local textile craftsmanship on the international stage. The event includes a fashion show, The Walk of Woven Identities, highlighting the cultural significance and heritage of Thai textiles. The runway show begins at 5:30 p.m. at Thara Hall, M Floor, and will feature innovative fabric products and distinctive textile designs from ten model communities nationwide. The initiative, Promoting The Art of Thai Wisdom Reinterpreting Traditional Craftsmanship for Today, seeks to adapt traditional techniques for contemporary use.



​The Public Relations Department is also promoting T-Sound, a collaborative music program with Srinakharinwirot University. The broadcast provides insights into traditional Thai and international music production, featuring experiences and expertise from professional artists, singers, songwriters, and industry experts. ​The program aims to encourage practical musical development and highlight Thai audio talent internationally.
