The Jomtien municipal enforcement team carried out patrols along the beach after reports of people occupying public areas and providing rental services to tourists in violation of local regulations.
During the operation, officials found beach mats and chairs being used for rental activities in public spaces. The equipment was seized and taken to the Jomtien Municipal Enforcement Center for storage and further legal processing. Authorities said the action was aimed at preventing the private occupation of public areas and ensuring that the beachfront remains open and accessible for everyone, including local residents and tourists.
Officials reminded operators that public land cannot be used for commercial activities without proper permission. Those found selling goods or providing services in restricted public areas may face penalties under relevant regulations. The city urged beach users and businesses to respect public spaces and help maintain order along Jomtien Beach, one of Pattaya’s most popular coastal destinations.
