NAKHON PATHOM, Thailand – A young woman who was riding on the back of a motorcycle during a viral road rage incident has come forward as a witness for the Mercedes-Benz driver, saying she could no longer support the actions of the two men involved. The incident began when a Mercedes-Benz driver honked to request space from two motorcycles travelling in the right lane. The situation escalated when the motorcycle riders allegedly followed the car, shouted at the driver, spat at the vehicle and damaged it by hitting the car and kicking a window.
One of the riders, identified as Get, later surrendered at Phutthamonthon Police Station and admitted he and his friend Tae were involved, saying the actions happened in a moment of anger. Police have since forwarded the case to court. The latest development came when the female passenger who was riding with Tae on the day of the incident decided to provide testimony supporting the Mercedes-Benz driver.
She said she had warned Tae to move aside after hearing the car horn, but the two men continued riding alongside the vehicle and arguing with the driver. When they reached a traffic light, the situation escalated, and she said she saw them approach the car and damage it. Uncomfortable with the aggressive behavior, she decided to leave the scene and called a ride-hailing service to return to a friend’s place.
She also claimed that after the incident, the two men contacted her and asked her to provide a statement suggesting the Mercedes-Benz driver had started the confrontation. However, she chose not to respond and instead gave her account to police based on what she said happened.
The case has drawn widespread attention online, with the female passenger’s decision to testify adding a new twist to the ongoing legal proceedings.
