PATTAYA, Thailand – Four tourists were rescued safely after a speedboat sank near Koh Kram, around 12 nautical miles off the Pattaya coast, during rough sea conditions on Friday. The incident involved four passengers, including two foreign men and two Thai women. Pattaya City rescue boat 501 reached the scene and successfully brought all four people to safety, with no reports of serious injuries. The sunken speedboat was later towed back to shore by Sawang rescue teams in the Bang Saray area.
Following the rescue, Pattaya rescue boat 501 remained at sea for a period due to strong waves and difficult conditions. The crew sheltered behind Koh Kret while waiting for the weather and sea conditions to improve before safely returning to shore. Initial reports indicated sea conditions were at level 3–4, with authorities closely monitoring the situation and reminding boat operators and tourists to exercise caution during rough weather.
